Thermography
Thermography is simply a photograph taken with an infrared camera. This unique, non-invasive image shows the thermal pattern of the object being imaged. Just like contractors use thermal images to detect problems in homes, both suspected and unknown, thermography technicians can image the human body to find inflammation. Steps can then be taken to resolve the issues that have been detected. Sometimes the problem is more advanced but sometimes the problem is small, and steps can be taken to ensure further damage is not done. Imaging can also be done in conjunction with the treatment giving a visual image of the progress being made in the healing. Thermography can be done on any part of the body not covered in hair but is most popularly used for breast imaging.
